Avi Ben-Simhon studied at the acclaimed Avni Art Institute and later at the Kallisher Institute and was greatly influenced by the Fauvist and Cubist painters of the 19th Century, in particular Picasso and Mogdigliani whose influence can be clearly seen in his paintings.
