Hanukkah Facts: Menorahs are most often placed outside a home near the front door; however, alternative locations are available for those who are unable to do so. It is not uncommon for a Menorah to be placed in a window or in a room where many family members or visitors regularly join together. These locations are suggested because they fulfill the purpose of using the Menorah to symbolize the Jewish faith and Hanukkah to visitors and individuals just passing by.
While the placement of a Menorah is advised, Jewish families have the option of selecting their own Menorah style and candles. There are a wide variety of Menorahs that are available for purchase. Menorahs can be purchased in multiple sizes. In addition to multiple sizes, gold, silver, brass, pewter, stone, or glass Menorahs can be purchased. Same colored or multiple colored Menorah candles can be purchased separately for the Hanukah Menorah lighting.
