Menorahs are known as the one the oldest religious symbols used to celebrate Hanukkah. The celebrating of Hanukkah lasts eight days; thus, the reason for the multiple candles. All Jewish individuals or families are instructed to light one candle on the first night on Hanukah, two candles on the second, three on the third, and so on. A Hanukkah blessing is to be said when each set of candles is lit.
