Hanukkah Tip: Lighting the Menorah is the most popular Hanukah activity; however, it is not the only one. Many Jewish families celebrate Hanukah by playing the dreidel game. The dreidel game is played by using a small toy that spins. Dreidel's come in a wide variety of different colors, styles, and sizes; however, they all have similar markings. A Hanukah dreidel is marked with the words Gimmel, Heh, Shin, and Nun on each side. The markings are used when scoring and determining the winner of a dreidel game. During the dreidel game each player sings the dreidel song. |
