This wonderful & substantial platter has
been designed for Challah. The wood base,
with it's beautifully carved edge stands on
four small legs. The central portion of the
platter contains a pewter-effect section with
a superb raised design illustrating a rich
traditional Shabbat scene. At the top of this
section, engraved in Hebrew are the
words 'In honor of the Holy Shabbat' and at
the bottom are the words 'Remember Holy Shabbat'
Over this central section a glass plate sits,
held in place by four pewter-effect pins that
make this not only a highly decorative piece
but a practical one too. Finally, to complete
this design, a bread knife is conveniently
held within a compartment in the top right
hand corner. Highly decorative, the handle
on this knife contains a pewter-effect inlay
and along the blade of the knife, the words
'In honor of Shabbat' have been engraved in
Hebrew along with a decorative effect. Made
